Combine community Action
If we don't install a rack, we like to install a nice sized shelf above the patch panel. This provides a place for the hubs.
Also, please note, we install PVC to route the cabling from the attic to the patch panel and/or telephone puch-down blocks (MDF).
Combined Community Action
This job included the installaiton of 32 computer network and 33 telephone lines. Each line was terminated to a data or telephne jack and then to the patch panel or termination blocks, shown here.

We like a neat, attractive appearance. Also, we want things to be easily identifiable.
Combined Community Action
We like to install the data, telephone and fax (if to be installed) all in the same plate (shown below). This makes for a much neat looking office.
The only time we install the jacks seperately, is if the data and telephone cannot be located in the place.
And then we ultilize different colored jacks for each application.

Me at McDade ISD
We have been working with McDade ISD since 1996 when they installed their first netork system. We installed 30 data line jacks on campus in 1996.
Over the years they have expanded to include, by the end of 2001, about 150 data outlet jacks (up to 5 per classroom).
This rack was the lastest addition, which makes it much easier to maintain and make additions to system.
Here, I'm about to complete the finishing touches on the rack and equipment installation for McDade ISD (2000). Everything, at the point, has been tested and running for about 2 weeks. We are made aware of any little glitches and fix them or make the required adjustments.
So now, with everyone here satisfied, we are about ready to call this job complete.
We have just added 32 data lines, installed 6 data switches, 1 patch panel, this rack, and tried to make everything look as neat and clean as possible. So, now, after work about a month, we're ready to go home.
Me at McDade ISD
This year (2001) we replace their 10Base-T hubs with 10/100Base-T data Switches. This has provide them with a much faster and more reliable netoworking back bone.
An 1800 foot fiber link was installed (notice the WIC in upper left) in 1999 to link the Middle School building (about 1.25 blocks and across the street from the MDF) to the system.
Additionally, we needed to expand the intercom system to include the Middle School. So a 25-pair cable was installed between the buildings so we could include those classrooms on to the intercom system.
More at McDade ISD!
I guess enough is not enough, sometimes! Now, 2002, we will be adding a new building to the campus, across the street from the Middle School. So we will, again, be expanding the netork system, and then relocate the intercom console, a daunting task, plus add the new property on to the TV cable network. Also, fiber will be installed to this facility, to provide faster networking capabilities and internet access. So a lot of exciting things going on!
